Day Two


Woke up at five AM. It was already bright as day. So ridiculous.

Then went to pick up other people from airport, and thence left for dorms (which are far nicer than anything at UVA, despite how ugly they are on the outside), and went on grocery run (we have a kitchen!). Food is cheap here. Really cheap. And they didn't even bother to card me for the wine.

and judging from talking to others who just got here, class will be very interesting. More on that later, when I have concrete results from which to speak.

Whether is gorgeous, too- currently chilly. And still bright, near 10:30. I can't imagine what Petersburg will be like, if this is Moscow. White nights indeed.
